Post-Study Work Visa Services

The Subclass 485 Visa enables international graduates to temporarily live, work, and study in Australia, fostering their career development. There are two post-work visa streams:

Graduate Work Stream

  • The Graduate Work Stream visa now allows a stay of up to 18 months.
  • A skills assessment for your occupation is needed
  • All courses must be closely related to the nominated occupation.
  • Visa holders can bring family members to Australia.
  • Processing times differ for each applicant.

Post-Study Work Stream

  • Visa duration for post-study work stream visas are tailored to the level of qualification:
    Bachelor’s: Maximum of 2 years.
    Master’s: Maximum of 3 years.
    Doctoral: Maximum of 3 years.
  • A current degree from an accredited Australian course is essential.
  • Visa holders can include their family in their move to Australia.
  • Processing times may vary and are subject to adjustments.

March 2024 Updates: Subclass 485 Visa

  • English Requirement: IELTS score increased to 6.5.
  • Test Validity: English test results must be obtained within 12 months before application.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Under 50 years old.
  • Hold an eligible visa.
  • Recent CRICOS-registered course qualification.
  • Meet stream-specific requirements.
  • Complete an Australian course.
  • Obtain police clearance.
  • Enjoy full-time work rights.
  • Provide OVHC for your application.
  • Apply within 6 months of course completion.
  • This is a temporary visa for work experience.
